Nobody makes an aftermarket impact bar. What the two guys above me are talking about are front bumper supports. They are obviously not crash rated. To answer your question, I def took out both the plastic and steel front bumpers pretty much as soon as I could. The rear ones as well. But disclaimer, I did not hardly street drive my car either.

Agent I have the Midwest chassis front bumper support. It weighs something like 3lbs, but like stated before I wouldn't call it a crash bar. It's a solid piece especially at 3lbs I think you'd be happy with it.

If you want the lightest, get the Midwest Chassis one. If you want one with a little more beef. Then get the Burkhart Chassis one. That's the one we chose for the same reason. No they are not for a crash. I figured you already knew that. Here are pics of both. Burkhart on the left.

We do have bumper supports that allow room for an intercooler. Not running a bumper support of some kind can but stress on the bumper cover itself at higher speeds.

I have midwest front and rear. Fit on both is fantastic. They hold the bumpers very tight..
