I'm building a custom set up(on a different car) and needless to say the biggest tire I can find available for 16" is the M&H 305/40r16
Id like 17" for more options but cannot find a place that makes custom size 17"(on the cheap ccw are $$$) so I'm sticking with diamond racing for 16x10
I run 555R now on my ws6 and have no complains with them(aside from lack of traction when cold and no traction on first gear.) and I'm wondering how the M&H would compare.
the car will be 2200lbs with about 600whp. I don't think the proxy TQ 275/40r16 will be able to have any traction on 2nd or 3rd. so looking at M&H. but was concern of drivability. how do they compare in handling and mileage. I know they are drag radials but the 555r are livable for a street duty.

I had M&H drag radials on my car since 2007. They were the 275 something 17's (28" tall) on my stock WS6 wheels. They worked well, no complaints. I finally ditched them this past week because they were toast and with with the M/T DR SS on 15's.

I'm DD'ing on 275/50/17 MH DRs on my 2010 SS right now. They drive fine, traction is comparable to NT05Rs.
I have DD'd on 20" 555Rs and they were better than stock but not as good as the MHs.
