Don't be hard on yourself for the slow times. I drive an A4 and I used to run 13.6 or so. Most of my experience has been with an auto, but I am continuoulsly having traction and tunning issues. Last night I ran a 11.72 for a new best, but my car will not idle properly and will die sometimes. Well I adjusted the idle screw and it is performing much better. I have spent lots of money too on my car because my mechanic abilities are limited, but I am slowly doing more and more. I would recommend you have your car dyno and see if it can be fine tuned. Maybe you have a bad spark plug, but something is wrong. Check driver skills and launching technique with your friends. Also, to run a respectable ET, you must run a good 60', just the plain truth. I would work on traction such as tires(slicks or equal), less weigh on car, and better suspension parts for improvement on the 60'. Again, don't be discourage, but hang in there. If you like to drag race, stick with it. It costs money to have fun. You have to stick with it, to get better and learn more. Maybe some else with more skills and advice will chime in. Good luck and you break in the twelve's.

Thanks for the advice. Now that you mention it, I have been paranoid ever since I put the platnums in. I have ATAP'd the car and there are very few misfires. Would misfires be the only way I could loose power with plugs? My sixties are consistantly around 2.2(suck). I understand without DRs or Slicks, I won't see too much better than that. The thing that gets me is that my 60's were almost equal on the two passes so it clearly is an indication that I only clipped about .15 of my ET, even with streets I should be running better with a low 111 trap????? If you guys think the plugs could be an issue, what should I look for on ATAP or is there no way to tell and I should just go get some NGK's???

I have been convinced to getting the DR's. But what about the plug issue, could I be losing anything there?? My whole thing is that even with street tires, I yeilded the same 60' time and only lost .15 on my time, something else has to be wrong other than the tires?!? Is there anyone running DRs on a stock rear? Kinda worried bout that too.

I think just about everyone's running DR's on a stock rear. There really isn't much to worry about with just a Nitto out back.
If you intend to run ET Streets, THEN you may have to baby it outta the hole to prevent the rearend from going BYE BYE.
The stock rears are weak, but not too weak that a Drag Radial will kill them.

Well that settles that, what about the plugs? I have several people telling me that I am losing my power in my plugs becuase out of all of the mods I did before I re-ran it those were the variable. Everything else definatly added power but the plugs suck. Could it be true, is there power to be lost in a plug other than from misfiring? I would really like to know before I venture down the plug change blues road again, boy that sux.

Traction! Add some LCAs w/anti squat brackets, and a set of Nitto Drag Radials, that will kock your times down dramatically. You can put all the $ you want into your engine, if you can't put it to the ground then it is useless.

I saw you have LCAs, then add a good set of drag radials.
