Default Light weight seats/brackets/rails

Looking for (best/safe/install ease) race seats and brackets for a 1998 T/A. Lightest and best fit bracket/rails are highest priority. Yes I want two.
Lets hear it and pics are a plus.

Thanks, I have been looking at those tonight.
Is there such thing as a safe/legal slider (my son and I both will be driving it)?

mount the seat right on the floor on 2 of the stock studs and build a back brace to your roll bar/cage. Done no bracket to deal with, and gives more headroom for helmet.

I don't think you can get away with a kirkey without having it braced to the roll bar.

You can't and shouldn't, seat isn't that solid.

Like I said, 2 studs on the floor, and a back brace. Solid, and will give you room so the helmet isn't into the roof/cage, etc.

Do you guys have pics of this setup? I am also interested. I THINK I get what you're saying, but would like a visual to be sure. If my cage is already in, and this seat fits differently, I'm not going to redo the cage around the seat change.
Pics would DEFINITELY be a big help.

Which setup? Putting the seats on the factory studs there's not much to show, just set on floor, Mark seat where ya want, drill 2 holes, bolt it down, make back brace to cage, done.

Really is that simple.

Guess I just misunderstood. I was under the impression it has to be against the cage in the back support area, or at least that's the way I read it.

Your comment on mounting to the floor made sense. Put the ****** on the ground. Check. Lol

The post above yours that you commented on, is where the miscommunication on my behalf came from.

Speaking of, slammed on the floor like that- how is the vision over the wheel/hood with the kirkeys?

I'm 6'3 and putting the seats on the floor was the best thing I ever did,
It got my knee off the dash back when I used to drive my car around.

Once you have the bottom seat bolts in sit in it and just figure out what angle ya want,
Have a buddy measure the distance to the cage and make a support,
Weld it in and you're good. It didn't have to be up against it, closer the better of course.

25.x you have to be back inside the drivers halo, which is why those levels have to be built to the driver, You can be up away from the main hoop with a roll bar or 8 point.

I'm also 6'3" and I'm going to install my seat right on the floor whenever I stop being so lazy. Right now with the stock seats and cage my helmet is closer to the bars than I am comfortable with.

I'm 6' and worry if I bolt the seat to the floor I may not see very well. But I do feel like these cars don't have much headroom. With a helmet on I could see it being an issue if it isn't bolted straight to the floor..
But the lack of headroom is also what makes these cars so bad *** looking

I am 6' and with the racecraft rails my head is not close to the roof with a helmet on. My wife has a hard time seeing out of the car with the rails. Competiton Engineering makes an adjustable seat brace that works perfect or you can fab your own.
