9 sec cars and faster
Would like to know what you guys are running for exhaust setups thinking of open headers or new exhaust setup my car has gone 10.00 so far with an open tsp y pipe was thinking of either going open headers or cutting the y at the merger looks to be 3.5 and running a bullet and dumped

I tried open headers on the street and its obnoxiously loud and felt a bit sluggish while driving around town haven't tried it at the track open header yet with the open y pipe it's a little better in both aspects but I was woundering if the neck down to 3inch at the y was holding me back at these power levels

It's likely not helping, and did you tune it with open headers? If not the fueling is likely off and that's the sluggish feel.
If you want something to run that's semi quiet and won't restrict step the pipe up to 3.5'off the collectors and put a pair of magnaflow race oval mufflers that are 3.5'in/out and enough 3.5 pipe to run back to the tires and dump it out the sides. Super 44 flowmaster will work too but they're heavier

Not a 9 sec car but I run 2 cut outs keeps the noise down when I drive the car and it directs it out the side a little more than open headers. Just thought that I would throw it out in case you hadn't considered it.

2" Kooks long tubes with 3.5" slip on collectors. 3.5" x 6" slip on turn downs. With dynatech incerts. Drops the sound just enough to stand it. With just enough back pressure so the O2s work good. Turned them enough to get most of the air out from under the car. If the exhaust music is too loud. Your too old. LoL
