True street rules
Sorry for the newbie post guys, but if a car had the cowl cut and wipers removed, would it still pass for true street class if all else was in check light, horn, signals, ect? I've seen a lot of guys here local do it but no idea on a actual NHRA event ect, I bought a roller that already had it cut, and that's the class I was wanting to go with thanks guys.

STREET EQUIPMENT
In order to compete, all vehicles and/or drivers are required the following:
1.Valid driver’s license
2.Valid vehicle registration
3.Valid license plate(s). Dealer/Temp plates prohibited. Paper license tag will be
accepted on a new model year car with current registration paper work less than 60
days old from current event date.
4.Valid insurance “ID” card. Faxes and/or letters from insurance companies and/or
brokers not acceptable.
5.Valid state inspection sticker (if required by state vehicle is registered).
6.D.O.T. Radials or D.O.T. Slicks on front and rear of vehicle.
7.Hood is required, may be made of lightweight material. Hood scoops permitted.
Hood/scoop may be liftoff, must cover the entire engine & induction system.
8. All OEM safety glass windows required & must be functional. Lexan prohibited.
9. Performance aftermarket or OEM style functioning Driver and Passenger seats
required.
During the tech-in process, vehicle must have operational street equipment, including
headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, and horn.
Doesn't say anything about not having wipers or a modified cowl, so just worry about it if they complain about it. I doubt they will, but you can call and ask them... or you can just use the premise of "don't ask/don't tell"

These are all the rules for the class, make sure you have all this stuff and the way I read it when it says (During the tech-in process, vehicle must have operational street equipment, including headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, and horn.) it does not have wipers but that is a dot requirement on the road so I think you do have to have them. Regardless contact Lonnie Grimm and he can give you the final answer!
