Can't 60 foot on mickey Thompsons
My new build I'm Trapping 115 mph with an M6 on 295/55/15 mickey Thompson etc streets with 4.30 gears in the 9". I am using my lingenfelter 2 step and launching right at 5k. Anything under and I bog, anything over I spin. I have qa1 single adjustable shocks all around and I'm not running sway bars. Headed to the track this weekend and I want to get better than a high 1.7-1.9 60ft. My old build Trapping 121 I could do mid 1.6 on 26x8" slicks. I've tried changing tire pressure and shock settings with different launch rpm and nothing seems to work. I'd think this tire shouldn't spin if I'm only making enough power to trap 115. Thanks Brandon.

Which et street are you running, racial or a bias ply?
Radials are not gonna work with a stick car for crap unless you have a softline type clutch that's designed to slip at release to stop the bog... Those tires have to dead hook on the hit and entire run, if they spin (radial) they will not recover, stick car with the shock needs a tire that will slip a bit at the launch.
4.30 isn't too low of anything 4.56 would likey be better.
Stick with a bias tire and you will have a lot better results if you're not willing to put the softloc type clutch in.
If 4.56 isn't something you want to do the m21 gto transmission has a 2.97 first gear, which does wonders to get a lower hp car up and rolling a ton better at the hit. Every car I've seen put it in usually ends up picking up a lot.... Same gear ratios that made the c5 z06 so much faster than a standard c5, fwiw.

I'm running the et street drag radial. The one they just stopped producing. My motor is a low compression 408 and I am boosting it over the winter. Just wanted one more track day on the car before the season is over. I was hoping to break into the 11's again. So it sounds like a new tire is pretty much the only thing I could hope for? I really thought the et streets were like "the tire"

Not for clutch dropping at 5k or higher. You have one of the best radial tires around, but they cant absorb that much initial shock from a m6. And once they go, might as well abort the run. A slick will recover mid spin.
