Default Going to bigger stall?

What are the benefits in general from let's say a 3200 to a 4400 stall? A buddy of mine wants a converter and wants to know since his *** hasn't gotten up to buy a computer for his apt. he has heads/cam,ls6 intake, gm12 bolt, 3.73's PI 3200. any benefits from going to a 4400 stall over a 3200? how would it affect his street driving?

Well I've drive a car with a big stall and have driven in a car with a stall like that, its loose on the street, but wouldn't be too bad with his gear...but when you mash the pedal get ready to hold on...

Its a monster at the track and on the street...

I've done the very swap you're talking about, and the difference is night and day! The Yank Pro Thruster 4400 flat-out hauls! Yes, it's a loose converter, but I'm running it with 3.73's as well, and I'm already used to it. It will take a little getting used to, no doubt, but it's nothing that I consider too much. Would I want to try this converter with 3.23's? probably not With that said, I'm guessing he'll see .15-.2 from the Yank PT4400 over the Vig 3200. He should see another .1 easy just in the 60' alone. My RPM's used to drop to 5,000 RPM on the shifts with the Vig 3200, and with the PT4400 they drop to 5,600! It's amazing how hard this converter charges on the top-end. I would HIGHLY recommend the swap. The looseness of a converter is purely subjective, but it doesn't bother me.

4400 is too big for nitrous. Car will do 6 grand all the way down the track.

Should I recommend him to stay with the 3200 or is there a bit bigger converter that will help out? or should he just save his money and stay with the 3200? thanks

Your buddy needs to work with what he has and go from there. His 3200 might go up to like 4200 on spray.
