Default LS 6.0 iron block #12609999

My son and I are building a 2000 Trans Am as a bracket car. The stock block is ruined. I am considering replacing it with a GM iron block 6.0 p/n 12609999 and would like to know the following:
Is it a drop in with no mods required?
Also will my LS1 heads, intake, 4L60E tranny, stock ECM and crank work with no mods
Will the generator, starter and AC work with no mods
I am trying to use as many of my old parts as possible due to budget requirements

It will work. You have to drill and tap a hole on the drivers side of the block for one of the alternator mounting holes. You should be able to use everything else off your ls1. I am assuming this block has the cam sensor location in the back of the block like your ls1. I didn't look up the block. If it doesn't that can be worked around to by extending your cam sensor wires and putting it on the front cover like on an ls2.
Hope this helps.

426rwhp - that's with LS3 heads/intake, a pretty health nitrous cam and 3800 stall through a S60 rear.
This combo is gonna love the nitrous when I get it hooked up and tuned

Thanks for the input. We have decided to go with the LS 2 but not with nitrous.
