What does son of sam run? Is that the biggest tire? I know from the second magazine article I read it looked tremendous, but I do not recall the size, sorry.

I run 29x10x15 Hoosiers. BTW, they are FAR wider than the 26x11.5x15 ET Streets I once ran. Point being, don't go by the designated width. Measured is what matters. For example, a "10w" tire will be much wider than than a regular 10 slick.

Another point....it's not really how wide your contact patch is but rather how hard you push it into the pavement that matters.

I have seen...

28x10Wx15
28x12.5x15 ET Street
28x13.5x15 Hoosier DOT
29x13.5x15 Hoosier DOT (Same as 10.5 slick)

I have not seen anything wider than a 26x11.5x15 ET Street in a 26" offering...

i will be running 28x14.5 Hoosier OTPs this year (12.0 tread, 13.1 sidewall). last year i ran 28x10.5 et drags (10.0 tread, 11.7 sidewall). wanted to get them today but didnt have time. hopefully i can get them soon and take some pics. room on the inside of the tire will be no problem with what i have done to my car, but i am unsure of how far it will stick out. hopefully its not TOO ugly

What kind of wheels are they and how do they compare to Draglites weightwise?

Those are Drag Magnums all 4 tires and wheels weigh in at 100lbs. The car will be finished in about 1-2 weeks. Still need to finish the fuel system and wire all the pumps and stuff. Thanks for the kind words from everyone. The car has a complete Billingsley cage and suspenspion setup. With a race weight of 3200lbs.It is just a lowly LT1 with a YS trim . But we are making a serious attempt at the first "Stock" suspended 4th gen in the 8's. If it doesn't do it on just the blower I may have to put the spray back on it. Only time will tell.
