This is who you should be talking to being your in the Chicago area. Their trans is as good as any other builder. I have been around racing for over 40 years. This is who Anthony Manna uses in his Drag Radial Car. http://proformanceracingtransmissions.com/

^^ very cool. Did not know about those guys.
I vote FLT Level 7, but then again, I'm still running air conditioning so I'm a bit strange : ) I'm running Larry's old 396 and Level 7 combo, cracks 9's, cracks 1.2x in 3600# and we all know what Larry put it through. Doesn't miss a beat driving to and from Byron couple times a year so overdrive is still nice. You're trailering it though so I guess it would just be for simplicity.

Joe I was ready to say go with their Level 7, but thought about my intended application.
I'm aware that if built for race application, it will usually have no engine braking, meaning it will freewheel all the way through the pass.
Rossler is another to consider, thanks.
Copy that. Thanks

A word of advise. If you get the ultrabell, make sure you get an SFI case as well. There is no room under a 4th gen for a shield. You could go ultrabell with a blanket but it is still a tight fit and the trans will run hotter. If you go standard case and bell the Kevlar one piece shields will fit in a 4th gen but they do not fit with a ultrabell.

I will be stopping by and talking with Dave at their shop in Woodstock this week.
