I like to be able to pull in to the track and race, rather than take my car apart there. Like you said different strokes for different folks.

Looks good, Terry. I can't believe the stock carpet weighs that much!

BTW, did you trace your factory carpet to serve as a template for the new carpet to make it fit better?

Yeah more or less. I put the stock carpet in the driveway and cut the new carpet the same size, then cut out the console. I did the rest with the new carpet in the car.

Sweet. I'll tell my brother, 2000ws6, to try it. He needs only .25 ET reduction to hit 11's w/bolt on MN6 and we just added an LS6 intake today.

Looks like **** Terry. It's all bunched up, doesn't lay down smooth. No where near as clean a look as mine is. Only an idiot would mistake that carpet for stock.

I'll take the carpet out at home, & still race when I get to the track..

If someone comes out with a lighweight version, that is formed to the stock floor, and lays down smooth as stock, I'll be the first to buy it.

also, if you just buy a replacement from year one, it will be much lighter and form fitting just not as thin as that

The carpet is straight, it's the floor of the car that is all deformed. I really like the way it looks. The back looks nice too. I'd rather run the stock carpet than no carpet at all, now that looks like **** IMHO.
