Default Fender exit headers!

One of my favorite things to do to my car is buy parts that force me to upgrade a bunch of **** and prolong the project . Bought a custom set of headers from a member. Either way anyone have pics on what they have to cut or relocate. Wondering if I am going to have to cut the fender apron a bunch? If I cut a bunch am I going to have the brace or tube the inner fenders? Any tips would be helpful.

I have looked into doing this but didn't have time this year, need to get the car out. If you go behind the tire you need to notch the firewall and box it back in with half of a 4-5" round tube so the collector has clearance like this.

If you go out the side of the front bumper in front of the wheel you can run forward facing turbo headers and vband a pipe to the collector that makes a 90 right out the bumper. This is way less fabrication.

Sweet. That helps! So pretty much remove the master cylinder and steering on driver side and start widdling away.

I’ve thought of this, but aren’t most turbo headers just 1-3/4” primaries and 3” collecto?

Yikes. I wonder how much you give up by losing the longer primaries?

I never understood why people would run turbo headers just to run out the bumper, your basically taking off longtubes and putting shorty headers back on the car. I would love to see the power gained or lost by this mod.

Exactly what I’m wondering lol. I would like a nice set of front exits custom built. 2” - 2 1/8” with a 4” collector and some vibrant 4” mufflers. Lol

Post some pics of what you do . I just hope like hell this custom to someone else car will fit on mine lol. Either way I'll make it work even if I have to modify a tube or relocate something, master cylinder should be able to stay out so that's good.

I build the to cars, shoot me a PM I have several sets I've done this past year. Last ones I did were a mild steel set for a bbc swapped fox body car. Whatever the guy wants I build to the car... no 2 have ever been the same. I'd have to have your car for a couple weeks

I'm in upstate NY...been wanting to do this all winter. Just roundabout idea: LS 2002 camaro... already has tubular front bumper support, manual brakes, no abs, no power steering, no AC, HVAC deleted... basically nothing in your way... pm me a general idea on price to bring it out in front of the tire. I understand its all in time/fab work etc.. but a general idea. Nitrous car so 1 7/8-2" primary preferred.... Be glad to trailer it out to you and dump it off and come pick it back up. PM me if you don't want it public, CT a big state but I have family in South Windsor/East Hartford and I'm only 2 hours from them, so can't be too bad of a ride..
