I was wondering what type of times a supra with 516rwhp(aftermarket turbos at 24 lbs of boost, stock engine)will turn in the quarter? I think he's running on ET streets. It's a six speed car, at full weight(as far as I know).
Thanx

I've been told anywhere from 11.9 to 11.2 in the quarter. That seems to be wide range. Just looking for some more responses to make a guesstamite from.

There was a high 490 RWH Supra at Atco but it wasn't really set up for drag racing weight wise besides the terrific roll cage, it ran 12.32 @ 116 and didn't 60' for crap, nice looking car though.

totally depends on whether or not he can drive. hard to build boost in a manual off the line but the e.t streets should help. he'll probably get a crappy 60foot and take off at the top of second.

well, theres a yellow supra up here where i live, he was in superstreet earlier this year. Dyno'd 860 hp, and 460 torque. and ran 11.6 on nittos. I dont know if it was the crappy driver or what, but i'd be pissed with 150k invested in the car and it was meant to go faster.

460 rwtq??? I would expect torque to be a bit less on a 6 cyl. turbo than h.p. , but that sounds way low <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I think I would <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" /> if I spent that much and only got 460 rwtq.

Why are Supra's (most of them) such pigs with 600-700-800 RWHP.
Look what 500 N/A RWHP can do, low-mid 10's all day.
What gives?

on a N/A V8, most of the time you have less peak power, but much more power at any lower RPM; the total amount of area under your power curve is what matters the most, that is why you can have a 500 rwhp car outrun a 800 rwhp vehicle

The car that hondakiller is referring to is real. I saw it in person last time at Cecil. The guy told me he ran 30 lbs boost. He ran multiple 9.x passes (some of them LOW). I think you guys are WAY underestimating a 24 psi Supra.....

A Supra is just junk with a big a number and no torque. Most of them are slow and the fast ones all have to race from of roll because they can not launch those things. Just take is money and send him home.
