First time with turbo and th400 advice and any guesses on what I should run?
So I swapped my M6 out with a th400 so I can actually run decent rack times. I am not familiar at all with running a th400 at the track, especially with big turbo on it so if anyone has any advice for me to not do something dumb or die I would appreciate it. My car has a forged 408 with TEA 245 heads, ls6 intake, ID1700s on E85, Borg Warner S480 on 20 pounds, FTI th400 and trans brake with 10 inch converter (4000 stall), Moser 12 bolt, 17 x 4.5 Alumastar 2.0 in front and 15 x 10 Welds in back with 275/60/15 ET Street R. How should I go about doing burnouts and that kind of thing and launching off of the foot brake? I won't launch on the trans brake until I am used to it. Any pointers really at all would be great.
Also what should this set up run in a pretty much full weight f body? Car made 935 rwhp with the M6 but hasn't been dynoed with the th400.

If you do not have a two step, you will more than likely blow the tires off when you release the t-brake. If I were in your shoes, I would footbrake it a couple of passes to get a feel for it then start using the t-brake to build boost off the line for your best 60ft. You might have to play with your two step (or if you do not have a two step you can part throttle on the t-brake to get a lower boost/rpm launch).
You will be surprised at how much quicker you will be in the quarter.
Good Luck and let us know how it does.

You didn't say what valve body, so assuming you have a RMVB without engine braking or fancy options like clean neutral:
Do not do a 1-2 or 1-2-3 burnout. Start in high gear if possible, or do a 2-3 and ease off when tires begin to hook. At the end of the run stay in high gear and do not shift into neutral. Downshift only under your converter's stall speed and under light throttle.
