went to the track for the 3rd time and hit 10s
100 nitrous hit
I have been trying to hit 10s and finally did it, It was in Ennis Texas on Friday night, it was hot and humid down here.
first pass NA the car went 11.1 @120.44 1.56 60 ft, 7.1 @96.77 mph 1/8th
then I sprayed 100 shot and got a 10.9 @122.1 ...... I was super happy to hit 10s, I played with the mini nos controlled and sprayed 100% on foot braking it to about 2700 rpms
thats when I hit the 10.5 @ 128.2 mph
1/8 was 6.7 @102.65 with a 1.51 60ft
here is a video of the runs
I am planning on spraying 200 next time out.
the car is a iron 408CI 235 AFR heads, 80e trans, 9 inch with 4.11 gears shifting at 6800 rpms
weight with me in it was 3750, full interior
I am planning on removing some weight from her but do not wish to gut the car. this is my "street fun car"
I had viking coilovers in the back with Koni shocks in the front. no sway bar on those runs.
what do you see and how can I improve on this car???
thanks for your advise and critique.

- density altitude = 3362.68 ft around 95 degrees
also I am running br7efs gapped at 30 If I remember correctly with a stand alone fuel cell pulling 4 degrees for the 100 shot
Im planning on taking 8 degrees off using the LNC2000
and maybe running the 3.90s gears if I run out at the quarter.

I agree with these guys about stepping up to the 8's on the plugs with a 200 shot. I run the 7's on a 150 shot with my mods, but I wouldn't feel comfortable going any higher. Better safe than sorry

Well, I had a little change in direction, I had to change my front shock to match the rears. I removed the koni adjustables and installed doube adjustable vicking shocks as well as the lower A arms.
I changed the plugs to 8s, will be removing 10 degrees total and spraying 225 shot next time out.
I think we are going to hit the 1/8 mile first due to the gearing, then I will install the 3.50s I have on a separate pumpkin and do the 1/4 mile.
this car has a lot on her, I am learning what she likes of the line,
I have been foot breaking it and going on the light but I want to try and go from idle and flash the converter and see how she acts of the light differently.
I think this car will run 9s next time I go to the 1/4 mile track.
