Talking Question 6.9911

Is a 6.9911 1/8 mile pass good for a 10.9999 1/4 and a 10 second club in sig.

A 6.99 X the trusty conversion factor of 1.565 = around a 10.93.

So close... it's more like a 11.01 (Wallace calculator)
Good luck with a title change. I never got my 11 or 10 or 9sec status. No worries, self satisfaction is what counts.
I see you are in FL. What track? DA alone could get you in the upper 10's if your times were recently in this hot, humid air.

If you got 6.99 what was the mph? I'd bet it would be a ten. Probably lol.

The Wallace conversion factor sound like it's for bricks. Mine works every time for the aerodynamic cars of today, +/- .02. I have run a 10.98 in the past with only a 7.02 1/8 mile. However, if you're trying to enter a 10-second club of some sort, you normally have to run it all the way out.

I don't want to argue (and I don't think I have a brick). That formula is a little happy for 3 of my cars I've used it on.
Here is one example: My 6.276 / 9.91 is within .01 of Wallace calculator (9.92).
1.565 x 6.276 = 9.822
And I'm pretty sure a 1/4 slip is necessary for a title change.

^^ These are all converter cars so, maybe a stick car would be closer.

The 1.56565 I was using is more for a stock type suspension with a good 60' time. For a great 60' time, like the 1.35, it doesn't work. It guess each car needs it's own conversion factor.

No argue guys. My thought was see what speed he was at 1/8. As we don't know how this car goes out the back I believe it's the 418 T/A in his sig. Should be pretty strong. So if he was say close to 100mph, a little under, by the 1/8 I would think he could get out the back in just under 4.00 sec. We're all just guessing. And I think you will have to get a 1/4 slip to get in the club.

I agree, a 100 1/8th trap should be a solid 10.99!!

Auto or stick?

Seems fairly close for my stick car.

6.315x1.565=9.883
Actual 9.874 on a 1.38 60'

6.398x1.565=10.013
Actual 9.971 on a 1.40 60'

6.378x1.565-9.982
Actual 9.973 on a 1.36 60'

Seems to work with mid to high 1.3s on a stick car.

Found an old timeslip from the C5Z.
7.035x1.565=11.0098
Actual 10.995 @ 123.72 on a 1.51 60'
