Default Launch question...

I'm a foot braker and usually stage at 1000-1250 and flash the converter on the last yellow to get my best 60's

Now I have my 2-step hooked up and wanted to know (for anyone who's done it) IF your car 60' better or the same using the 2-step and launching at say 3000rpm ? (give or take)

my car usually 60fts about .03 to .04 better off the transbrake (3700) than the footbrake (2800)

You will be more consistence controlling the rpms on a 2 step. I am also a foot braker & launch my car at 3500 to 4000 rpms with out a 2 step.

^^This is why I put one on my car (recently). I haven't tried it yet at the track. I don't know how much my brakes will hold, on a sticky track, to know what rpm I'll set it at. I'm thinking 3,000 would be about it (nitrous converter is pretty tight).
My old ladder bar car would 60' about the same foot vs brake but I had a 5,500 converter.
OP keep us posted.

So 2 step but no Trans brake? Let me ask what you can footbrake to rpm wise before it pushes forward on the brakes or slides the front tires? Have you ever lift on the foot brake at that rpm?

Haven't tried higher RPMs with this combo, just been doing what worked in the past.

I know it holds 3000 without issue on the street. (5500 nitrous converter...and haven't sprayed yet)

Well I would leave at max rpm on the footbrake and see how it does. Let me say this I can go almost 2k higher in rpms on the trans brake / two-step compared to footbrake. Usually I can see a reduction in 60 foot times.
