The "Hot Rod" meets Madman.

Well, after my last weekend of racing. I needed to do something to keep from blowing out another slick. So I went to Madman Racing to see if Brian could hook a brother up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

Well, Brian(one hell of a nice guy) said that he could open my fender wells. So I took him the Hot Rod this morning. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Here is what he is gonig to do.
1. open fender wells to fit a 30x9x15 slick. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
2. install a 5.14 gear. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
3. a little more weight removal. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
4. scale and set up the chassis on the Hot Rod. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

You Boys better be practicing. On November 2, Coach is coming to getcha. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

I think that Madman is also going to finish my Pops "Pro Mod" Hot Rod. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Chassis tune is as good or better than free hp. Once you put it all to the ground, you really see whats she's capable of. Good move. I'm getting ready to do the same thing with a local guy outside of Charlotte. He sets up alot of NMCA Pro-street style low 4sec 1/8-6sec qrtr cars. I too want to fit a 30-31 inch slick. 400+ cubes and a big turbo(pretty near future) will demand it.

I was up at Madman's today and saw your car..must say VERY nice set up there ya gots...Brian was cutting away at the fender wells when I walked in the shop....I actually grabbed a couple pics of the car....

Sounds good Coach! I have Brian's torque arm on my car, and can attest to the fact that it is a top notch part. I can't wait to test it at the track and get the suspension dialed back in on mine.

And all this time I was thinking I'd be the first one on here to stick a 30" tire on my car (I'm waiting until this pair needs replacing)! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

Went up there this morning to meet Brian. Heck of a nice guy! The work done so far looks AWESOME! We finally tore our selfs away so Brian could get some more work done <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> .

We'll be hooking up with ya soon, can't wait to see the new tire/gear combo in action!
