Default Rear Right Height Questions

So I have a NA 99 Camaro that I just installed a QP 9" in. I noticed the rear ride height grew a bit with the axle swap, to be expected. Currently on stock rear springs, QA1 SA and aftermarket non adjustable lower arms and panhard(needs to be replaced with adjustable rear is slightly off center). At the track saturday was able to 60 betwen 1.47-1.49 every pass, nothing to complain about with sub 400hp. But I am wondering if there's anything to gain with lowering the rear end down, I know it will change geometry in the rear but I have a good 4" fender gap with 28" tires currently. Wondering it it would help or hurt the car to lower the rear some.

With a stamped style housing using the bracket to the torque arm bracket configuration you have to be careful lowering the vehicle as the torque arm mounting bracket will make contact with the floor. So take that into consideration when choosing your ride height. With that said a lowered ride height looks great but not always the best choice especially for lower HP vehicles. If sticking with a stock style spring I suggest using the stock springs with the heater hose mod.

Thanks I already had to do some clearancing to the tunnel to fit things in, I'd assume I would have to get deeper into that to clear everything. I may try the hose mod and see where things lay out and go from there.

15” rim, 28” diameter tire. When going lower, the torque arm gets close to the the top of the tunnel and hits when suspension compresses.

Cool thanks I havent measured mine yet but pass side is easily a first gap and driver side is a little tighter. I got heater hose today, figured the $5 was worth it to try and see where it puts me. Not trying to go super low by any means but keep it reasonable.

Well I'm a bit of a dummy and forgot to measure where I was at before I started but did the heater hose mod. Driver side from bottom of 15" wheel to fender is 24" pass side is 24.75". Not sure if it ended up being a big difference but I can notice it for sure. And no issue with tq arm or anything all went together smooth.

Scale the car. Very import piece of the puzzle. Moving the battery to the rear, worsens the balance. Leave it in the stock location. I didn’t take a picture of my baseline numbers prior to balancing. Here are my after numbers. Car reacts smoother and small chassis adjustments, when made are noticeable. My current final numbers.
