Never ran DR's before, hints/Tips and No, No's.
I will be mounting 275/35/18 BFG TA DR's tonight and need to know the Do's and Don't's of DR's. Currentley I am runnig 275/40/35 18" Goodyear F1GSD3's on my Corvette and I change the air pressure to 28PSI at the track. This has netted a few 1.9 60' times, but I average in the low 2's. Launch is at about 3500RPM with a feathering of the clutch. Help a brother out here with some info.

I went from 12.9 to 12.6 using different driving technic with my Z06 clutch slipping on the gearchanges.I pull the car thru the box and stop just after rolling thru.I put it in 2nd and rev and dump, then quickly put your left foot on the brake to just hold the car and stay at near 5k untill you see smoke.Don't bother with dry hops, pull to the line and try bringing the motor up just before you launch or rev it up and dump at the same time to keep from scattering the rear end and not bogging. It seems as tho a slight tire spin works best for me.I tried this and went 12.92@110/12.72@111 and then 12.66@112.2 with the clutch not holding on the last pass.I actually thought the 12.6 would suck because of the clutch and the tire spin out of the gate.I think with more launchs and a spec 3 I could get 12.3.Good luck.

Well keep on keeping on then
We did have awesome track prep that day (we rented the track out)
and a few guys running full slicks just in that lane too, so
Im sure that helped out the cause some. Funny thing is I never launched
the car hard cause I didnt want to break anything,
Oh well break stuff and you just get faster.
And yeah my mph was down, we had a hella head wind that day.
Im hoping for 113-114 traps speeds once the weather cools

Heres what I do.
Tire Pressure. 18 p
Stay out of the Water.......There is still enough tread on the Drags to bring water up with you to the line. Heat the tires until you see smoke. Thats it. I ran BFG last year and Nitto this year. I think that the Nitto are better for Street/Strip and lifespan.
