Very disappointing 1/4 times.
Well, about five or six LS1 cars went to Rockingham Dragway this past Saturday night.
I was pumped up about running my car since my cam install and my LT headers.
To make a long story short. Rockinghams track prep SUCKS and it was warm and humid. My car ended up running almost identical to what I ran before my cam and LT were installed. Last time I went I cut a 1.78 60' time on F-1's. This time I was on Nittos and I couldn't cut better than a 1.82 60' time. I was expecting low 12's and ended up in mid twelves.
Is it possible for a track to be 1/2 of a second slower because weather and prep? Everyone that was there was about 1/2 of a second slower than usual.

Well the constant here is that everyone was .5 off. So it was not you. I was faced with the same thing Sunday. After mouting new DR's I could only manage a 2.00 60'. Track prep is key. Do not let one bad outing get you down too much.

track prep sucked ***!! the best 60' i cut was a 1.993 on the new mt et street radial. i really couldnt heat my tires because my clutch would slip. oh well. hey brandon we might have to give the track in Fayetteville a try. its 1/4 mile also.

can i second the trailer...my times were pretty horrible considering i had some hellatious weight reductions, new hotchkis LCA's and PHR, and some nittos...and on top of all that the ride home in the monsoon with bald nittos wasnt too fun...brandon im sure your car is capable of some damn good times, just have to find some damn good weather and a prepped track..
