If that GAFBA member has ran what you guys think he has, no one on the GAFBA mailing list has mentioned it.
I wish it were true...

I'm not sure if he has gone to the track yet but, A speedshop by my house just finished a TA with the 427 c5-r block and heads, and twin turbos. I know they are about to slap some slicks on it soon. But you can check it out for yourself at www.stropesspeedshop.com It should be in the 9's, but that's just a guess.

So how could he be running C5R heads? The pic wasnt too good but it sure didn't look like a custom intake.

Re: Is there a new record for the fastest LS1 F-Body? Is it 9.29@142.4?
I was up there that night too and I never saw a 9 second run except for a Nova. The track does not open on thursday nights until 5p.m. and test and tune does not start until 6 p.m. The only way I can see him making a run at 10 a.m.(when all the MANDATORY safety personel are not there) was to rent the track for that time. I will find out this thursday by talking to Mark(guy who runs the show) and find out for certian.
If the guy up and posts a time slip for us all to see(the whole thing with date and time) then I will be the first one to appoligize and congradulate him, until then I don't believe it.

Last time I talked to ARE they got too busy to hit the track they had a few cars to finish.
I'll ask them tomorrow.
