Dynatechs are a "race-only" header. No provisions for emissions stuff, and the collectors slip on and leak. Dynatech does sell some weld-on collectors, which I have, but they are not coated and you will have to sacrifice the coating on your headers where they are welded on.
I had FLP's previously, they worked great also. No leaks or anything.

Re: 10 sec guys/ what headers?
I don't have any part numbers... The headers are the 1.75" Dynatechs with the slip on collectors. While the slip on collectors would certainly leak in a "full" exhaust setup, it isn't a problem with an exhaust like mine.
The mufflers are Flowmaster 3" in/out 1-chamber race mufflers (6.25" long).
You can get everything from Jeg's... A lot of our sponsors here carry the Dynatech headers, and I'm sure would have no problem getting the Flowmaster mufflers as well. Beware, this is not a quiet exhaust by any stretch of the imagination.

Re: 10 sec guys/ what headers?
That's up to you... I don't really know that the Dynatech headers would outperform the SLPs. I just know they seem to work well on my car. Like Tony already said, the are a "race" header, and have no provisions for polution controls (EGR, AIR). They are basically the same as the FLP's, but don't come with a Y-pipe, no emmisions hookups, and slip-on collectors.
For a "race" car they are awesome. If you need the emmisions crap or a full exhaust, I don't think they'd be a very wise choice. Fit/finish is the same as the FLP headers...

They tick ever so slightly but nothing too bad. I I like the fit of my Dynas.I wish I wouldve bought the 1 3/4in instead though...
The stepped is not nessessary for a 346.
Terrys car proves that,He's running 127 with a TTS and they have a 2.5in collector to boot.
Stick with your SLP's,What it gives up on the top is minor.I like the midrange tq the slp provides.
But IMO,of all the headers the GROT,FLP are the best for most H/C 346's...

Re: 10 sec guys/ what headers?
I would keep the SLP's, there is really no reason to change...I would just run no cats, and get a good flowing muffler and consider a cutout... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I've got FLP's, but if I already had SLP's I wouldn't go through the trouble of changing them out.
Take the money and do something else with it on the car. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I honestly wouldnt upgrade the headers right now but i would do something with the exhaust if you are trying to get more hp out of the system. jmo

What are your plans for emissions testing in your your daily driven non-gutted racecar? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
