Yeah, that thing is bad ***. I can't wait to see it in person! Maybe I need to trailer my Firebird up to ******* for some tuning when it's done?

Are you at liberty to reveal how much it weighs?

The car has done so good since I got it out I decided to treat it to few lightweight add ons, work on some carbon aero, and even a bigger 114/116 turbo.

Instead it decided to torch the head and block in the #6 hole the first pass out with the new turbo. This son of a lol.
Dropped it off at the machine shop for some decking, just changing that sleeve, and a valve job. Sending the injector out monday. Something goofed up. It went from zero to hero real quick.
62lbs of boost from the 114 and 396 degree iat at 2.69 seconds and she popped. chute out and ran a 4.2@140. There was a time Id kill to go 4.2's!

We will return!

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I wanted to go to the race this weekend, but I'm working 12s Friday until today and I'm just too worn out after my shift to make the drive down. You'll get it back together for sure. Race car problems, right?

I hear you there, its exhausting living the race car life at times. Yessir, my own fault I should have taken it a little easier.
Already welded up. Just waiting on my buddy to get the sleeves back in and all decked.

Im not sure what happened yet or still I should say other than maybe just #6 went from a clean cylinder to nice and hot after the turbo swap and more air. So the wrist pin is beat on that cylinder.

I decided to go with athenas again. Ive always been a fan of having a fuse somewhere. Whereas if you run into a problem like this and unsure the fix. you just knock a rod out of the block lol

The other 7 holes are mint. My machinist friend and a few much wiser than I havent seen any real clue to the failure other than It getting hotter with the turbo swap. So I was going to add a couple percent fuel to that hole when it comes back out. Maybe make a few more passes on the dyno and verify there isnt something really goofy happening.

Im actually in a really bad spot for time and mega broke right now lol.

Just bought a new shop for the business may 29th. Having all sorts of issues with change of use and occupancy department, we havent been able to open for 10.5 weeks.

So its been a nightmare.

When its all over its going to be great but Im going to be in a tight spot for some time.
