I'm planning on heading to the track tonight and was wondering if Streets are ok for about 25 minutes on a freeway, I've been told to run them at 22lbs. for street use. I usually change them at the track but I am feeling lazy today <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

If there is no rain in the forcast you will be fine. I do it all the time.

I second that, just be darned sure it's not going to rain or it'll be a scary drive home. We've driven ours up to 40 miles (1 way) on the ETs so far.

 

I drive mine about 30 miles to my local track. I inflate them to about 25psi or a little more and WATCH OUT for any water on the road. A few weeks ago I was cruising along at about 40mph and the sprinklers in the median had apparently been on and left a short strip of water on the road and when I hit it the car jerked sideways and scared the crap out of us!!

Just be careful and DON'T gun it with the wheel even slightly turned. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

gone 200 miles on et streets one way before. Don't hit turns hard or you'll take miles off the tires. They do pretty good in turns but you will start to slide before you normally expect to and they kick *** for drift style turning. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

and pay attention to the road in front of you, if you run into a sudden unexpected very wet spot in the road you will spin out of control. Most of the time you can go 30mph on a damp surface and 15 mph on a soaked surface.

I have driven 130 miles each way to the track with no problems at 30 psi, also have gone 140 mph on the way back from the track {had to spank a saleen }with no problems. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Many of us use them. I've got a 30mile drive each way. No troubles, but I stop when it's wet out. I run 30psi on the street. It helps smooth the ride allot.

 

At 25-27psi the ET Streets will feel a lot better at 50-70mph. Change lanes a lot more carefully.

 

i drove on mine from Milwaukee, WI down to US41 in Indiana for a club track rental. Worked perfectly all the way down <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

i run skinnies and 27x11.50x15 hoosier qtp's everyday at 20 psi with no problems at all. i even drove home from work the other day in the rain and it wasnt as bad as everyone will tell you. of course when it rains in vegas, it doesnt matter what kind of tire you have. nothing hooks in oil <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
