Gained +4mph and .4et with JPR S2 heads.
My best pass tonight in 80* heat and 80% humidity was 11.79@115.4 with only passenger seat and swaybar removed. NO skinnies or et streets. This was on street tires(nittos) with heavy street rims(the 17x9 twisted WS6 wheels made for about 6 months in 2000).
60---------1.67
1/8--------7.53
1/8mph----91.79
1/4-------11.79
14mph----115.42
needless to say I am very pleased with the results of my JOE PRINCE RACING S2 heads. I think with tuning, weight reduction, slicks, and most importantly good weather, low 11's would definately be possible.
p.s. Joe, if you see this, would you mind emailing me your address so I can get those cores to you.
Justin
Sent mail with the addy.
Thanks!
What I'm gonna do is DEGREE the 224-228 in about a month.I'm adding a katech pump/irl chain so I figured I might as well check it .
Comp told me this cam is on a 113 and that they reccommend a ICL of 109.Thats where its going to be when I'm done degreeing it.
We'll see if it helps.
Call Geoff at TR....
I went 11.5 last yr at 3562lbs running TR 224 with JPR S1 heads,It works and idles very well.

Joe.
U ran right in the 11.4 range @118,I on the otherhand (PAGE1) ran 11.5 most of the time@116.50...
We did have that good air in Dec when u ran the 11.40@118 and backed it up with a 11.36@119???
That was also the night I clicked off the 11.43@117.Your S1 heads and the TR cam flat out worked and we only shifted it at 6200!!!
FWIW
My Cartek setup runs 11.40's@119 MOST of the time now in 65/70 degree weather at about the same weight as the old setup. Not exactly where I wanna be thats for sure.I would be happy to run 11.30@120 in that weather with this setup....
I need to get my cam degree'd once and for all JUST to make sure its in at the correct 109ICL
I believe that along with the TP4500/SMALLER LT's will get me the consistant ET/MPH I saw with the S1/224 combo.I liked the fact that I could run the number over & over depending on the weather.
My new setup is all over the place and its frustrating at times..U know me JOE,I'm as **** as u.I'll get the car dialed in.....
Bottem line the TR224 with Joes heads work.
But with the cam your already running I dont know if your gonna see a whole lot unless u go to the 230/224.
I'd call Geoff but be prepaired to shift the car at 6800.Thats why I'm advancing my cam for more TQ and a lower peak,I dont wanna shift higher than 6600 on a stock bottem end and Comp reccomended this ICL for my car.
U better think about that before taking the MMS cam out.Thats why Geoff told me to try the 224 again with my new setup. He said it would make more TQ and peak about 200 rpm lower...

I will be at the track with the Camaro on Fri night, Yup! I went ahead and did it! Trace thinks I'm nuts, but what the hell, I am getting a new car in Dec anyway! Hope to see you there.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I am predicting that I can beat the 11.36 before the end of the year with this combo. Anybody wanna bet?
I know if you get tunned in and into full "econo race trim" hehe! you can get low 11's out of it, chassis work is always a plus too! Those heads have already hit 411 RWH on an A4 car with an unlocked 3,600 converter so the power is definately there.
Most of all, have fun with it!
Joe.
