Default !ABS....should BRAKE light be on??

Just got done taking off my ABS. At first just my abs inop light was on. Now my BRAKE light is on. The reservoir is full and the brakes appear to be working. I just want to be sure this is normal.

I did too. My ebrake has been removed for about a year now.

Whenever I run slicks on my car for over a mile it freaks out the ABS sensor and the red BRAKE light comes on too. I'm convinced they are both related because I've never seen one come on without the other. When I shut the car off and turn it back on both lamps go out until I drive a little distance. I damn near **** my pants the first time I saw both of the lights come on. I did a quick break check on the freeway to make sure I still had breaks.

yeah... !abs = brake light + Sevice Vehicle Soon (not SES)

I connect my factory ABS computer to the harness for street driving for this reason. Take it out for racing though

It is normal when you remove the ABS to have ABS INOP, and BRAKE light on. Doesn't effect anything. I'm tired of looking at mine, so I'l going in and taping off the back of the guages in those spots.

I was just about to make a thread about this, but I saw this one. I removed my ABS and installed the Billingsley ABS delete block and the ABS INOP, Brake, and Service Vehicle light is on. I took all the fuses out that had ABS in it and still the lights were on. What do I do to make the lights go off because Im tired of them being there. Thanks.
