how many guys drive to the track???
I've broke and had to be trailered back too many times than I'd like to remember.
My rule of thumb is to quit when the car acts up. I've had buddies tell me "my clutch is going away" and they go and make a few more runs DOY. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Reminds of of this one guy I think last year, his car died on the track, he/ we got it running, he should have drove home at that point, but NOOO he had to make another run and the died again. Musta been a pricey tow being 85 miles from home Jimmy. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
No trailer queen here! <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

what do you guys do??
<strong>Always. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> My usual trip to the track is around 265miles round trip. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I wish I could afford a truck and trailer but I can't. If you don't drive it to the track, then it ain't a "street" car. <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Whatever my th350 with its 8 inch non lockup converter and 200 shot/no ac/no radio/no power steering/one seat/14point roll bar is a street car.Why do you ask because it has DOT approved tires on it when I drive it into my garage from the trailer. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Last time I was there I saw a Toyota get trailered in with a rotary motor and slicks run a perfectly tuned 14.14......WOW!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
I cant consciously back a 11 second car off a trailer. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Stu
I drive the car to the track and I run it as I drive it. Skinnies and nittos <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Sway bar has never come off either. I trailored one time and that was to cecil county Md about a little over 3 hours drive. I only did that because I carried the gf and daughter up for that event since we all couldnt fit in the TA with luggage <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
but MIR is a 3 hour round trip for me every weekend <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
BTW: its a PITA loading and unloading the car on a trailor
