18" drag radials...who wants em!?
This is not an advertisement, gp, or sale of any kind. This thread is to show the interest/demand for a drag radial to be made in an 18" size that will work on Fbodies, c5s, Z06s, and even stangs. If the demand is there (it is) we can get this tire built. We just need to hear from you. Please reply, and include a size you think would be best. Thank you all for your time!

Thanks John. Remember me? MFBA 98 SS #0505 I think my mfba name was ToddzSS. I think it was the Meyham in Morrocco event...I was the 1st there and my red ss along with Matts were the 1st two in line when you all took pictures.

Re: 18" drag radials...who wants em!?
nitto makes a 18 inch drag radial but it is very tall like 28 inches. i would like to have a shorter drag radial to run on the road. i have 18s on my t/a with 245/40-18 on it i think that size or maybe like 275/35 would be great.

Count me in! I just ordered a set of 17" Fikse FM/5s. I wanted the Fikse Profile 5s but it wasn't available in a 17" (only 18" and above) to accomodate drag radials. Were there an 18" Nitto available I would have been a happy camper.

One of the sizes I would like to see is a 325/30/18. That calculates to be 25.68 which is pretty much stock height. That would look AWESOME!

i could not even fit that tire under my car i have a set of 18 boyds on my car and lowered 1.5
the rims have a offset that puts it more out towards the fender. i think i would rub the fender lip

Make a decent Drag radial at a decent price, and us L' owners will flock! The rear F1's are almost bald on my Lightning (weird how only the rears are bald?? ), so I'll be in the market soon for a some DR's to replace them.

I work at discount tire, I get my discount on these right? No just kidding, no need for them. Todd, is this information for bfg and nitto, Im just asking cause I would think they would do the research, not us. Unless there is going to be a DTC brand tire?

And yes, a 275-295 x 35-40 drag radial might work well, preferably in a BFG DR.

Re: 18" drag radials...who wants em!?
How about nitto 555R in a 315 for a 18 then OEM ZO6 rims (18x10.5) same as a 11" like ZR1 rim I don't know if it would fit stock ZO6 and f-body's
but I would buy it.
but I would buy it.

Re: 18" drag radials...who wants em!?
I am hoping to show this thread and the other 6 I have out there on other boards to Nitto. They make a great product which many of us already use. The Lightning drag radial 305-45-18 was brought to life due to high demand like this (we had something to do with that as well). Nitto does the research...but not quite as grass roots as this. Thats why I am here.

Re: 18" drag radials...who wants em!?
The only reason I bought 17" Vette wheels instead of 18s was b/c of the absence of a Nitto DR to fit the 18. So I vote you make them in a 295/35/18 - 285/40/18
