Bogarts and silck sizing help.

I have 15x9.75" rear D10s with a 26/11.5 slick on them. My question is, are there gains to be seen by going to a 10 or 10.5 slick? Can I fit them on my wheels now or will I need to buy 8" wheels? Thanks.

the logic you're using is backwards.

you want as wide of a contact patch as possible.

stick with the wider tire.

do you have a 26x11.5 et street? Or some other type of slick? I would think that the 26x10 et drag would hook better than an et street due to the different compound.

I run the 28x10.5x15 ET drag on my Bogart SS's (15x9.75") and they fit fine.

So you can run a 10.5" tire on a 9.75 rim with no problem. Okay. Silverghost, I was told that a narrower tire gives you less rolling resistance and can be a way to increase MPH. Just trying to squeeze every ounce out of it.

JeffT: Are you A4 or M6? What size gear are you running with that 28" tire? Power adder? Thanks.

M6 on the hose. Was on a 4.10 but it felt soft (1.54 60's) coming out of the hole so I've put some 4.56's in to see what happens. Probably too much gear for 1/4 mile track but all we have in AR is 1/8 and 1000'.
