VFN made me a carbon fiber hood. They just laid it on top of the fiberglass. It was $750 and came with a bunch of dings and imperfections. I wasn't very happy with it so I had a body shop fill in all the little holes and imperfections, sand it and paint it. Now I am happy.

I believe he is already working on a carbon fiber hatch with a lexan window. It should be intresting to see when it's done.

i'd be very interested...post up on your progress fabricator. i just called VFN, who i had no problems with my 3" SS hood in C/F, with a scratch proof lexan window from Alston. definately gonna do it, soon as i get my new toy delivered.

Dave

Good site says they have fenders, and shows a hatch that looks vey nice! I like the doors but I would rather have them without lock and the pinstrip! T-tops would be the first thing I would be interested in! Fabercator was making me a set but I lost touch with him I think he stoped making them! He said he was trying to mold the whole t-top not just the glass! I would buy hood, ?hatch?, and t-tops right now! I don't know about the hatch with lexan would look! And the hood I will order from RK in 2 peieces and cut and past the bottom on!

Default C/F parts

The only guys I'm aware of that will have what you need in lightweight carbon parts will be Joe VanOverbeek or Tim @cynergy composites . Tim's number is 519-245-0016. If you want "clear" carbon for looks its not their deal. They make race paintable stuff very ridgid and lightweight.
Hope this helps, Hutch

I'd attack the idea if I had sufficiant space for production of such large pieces. Unfortunately, I don't

Give VHN a call. I know they work with fiber. They probably don't have what you're looking for on a shelf, but they certainly have the ability to make the parts.
