Default need advice on a good torq arm

I just broke my torq arm on my 99 SS. I will be replacing it with a reinforced OEM unit this week (hopefully), until after Xmas. I want to get a good one after Xmas. These are the ones I am considering: Madmans, BMr Trackpak, and Spohn. What do you all think? Check Sig for mods on the SS. I am looking to be running 10s next season with 60 fts in the 1.4-1.5 range.

I like the BMR X-trem duty. It will not break! And if you weld it to the floor say every 4" as well as to the SFC. It would realy stiffen your car up.

MADMAN!!!!

If you still have stock 10bolt this wont work though...then the BMR Xtreme duty..but if you got a 12 bolt or a 9" you'd be just wasting money to go w/anything else than the MM.

MadMan said his torq arm is designed to be used with dual exhaust, and he didn't think it would work with a y-pipe

Coach is running a Y-Pipe set up. The ONLY THING he refuses to put his TA on is the stock 10bolt housing. It will rip it apart....

His TA is on the expensive side, but EVERY SINGLE big dog is running that torque arm. Baxter refused to run his suspension till Madman schooled him hard. Baxter has sense see then light....to tell you what kinda guy Brian is...he knew Baxter had the HP to beat his Lt1 powered car, but baxter never could cause he couldn't hook for ****. Madman gave him a TA and said, if you don't drop our 60's and Beat my time I'll buy it back. Betcha can't guess where that TA permenatly resides now....under baxters car...

I was say 90%plus of the Big dogs at THunder had his Torque arm on their car....think that is a coinsidence?

Brian,

I have the same Spohn Arm on my car sice day 1 and have been cutting low 1.3xx 60's all season. How many here can say that? It will work with your Groty Y pipe too. Call me and I'll hook you up. The Spohn arms are second to none!

Mikey

Mikey,
I ripped the upper nuts/bolts right through the OEM torque arm. The Spohn unit looks like it causes a huge loss in ground clearance though. Being that my car is more street driven, do you think the spohn unit will cause problems. We do have quite a few speed bumps around here and those driveways with inclines and the big curb hop at the end may do some damage. What do you think?

I don't care if Baxter is your next door neigher. He never EVER beat Brian untill he went to Brian to get his suspension dialed in. I got video of baxter playing "Lets see how I can stand up" as Brian was already past the 60' mark.

I NEVER dogged Baxter...hell anyone that can make that FAT SLOB of a vert run what he has deverse MUCHO props....but fact remains he got faster using brians stuff....

I guess I'm not a "big dog" yet, but I'm cutting 1.4X 60' times in a 3600 lb street car with a 6-speed, on motor. Not many 6-speeds can claim that.

I guess my simple LG Motorsports torque arm is working just fine. I bent my stock one when I was running 11.0s. The LG is a stock replacement and has alot of clearance, no problems with it so far.

But, if I were a big dog, I might need one of those nice Madman setups

Josey, Baxter has come a LONG way. He doesn't talk to anyone about his set up anymore, and the person who does his suspension respects his wishes. What I can tell you is that Madman would not recognize the torque arm that is launching his car. It is NOT what Madman sent him." Just stating the facts since Baxter isn't here to speak for himself.
