I went to the 1/4 mile track a few weeks later and toasted a rod bearing.Ended up just putting a stock motor back in it after that, and selling off the parts.

Hopefully, I'll be out of the running this season (heads/cam hopefully coming soon). If not, I intend to take my record back and then some. I'm still on a mission to prove that the M6's CAN run with the A4's at the track, or at least darn near. I will be proving that whether it's h/c or stock-internals. Happy racing!!!!!!! Take care!
<strong>I'll let the drivers post up, but JS12 from dallas ran a 11.6 @ 119 with a stock internal M6....having clutch issues. And V6 Bird ran a 11.3 @ 119mphwith a stock internal A4!!! Both from the Dallas area.....we are gonna try and take the records next week...so look out <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Since I was born and raised in Dallas, it'll be a good place for the record to go. Someone can get a 10 out of it as I had lots more weight reduction (brakes, airbags, heater, radio, etc.) that I had not done, plus, it was on stock programming (except for the limiter and 1-2 shift point).
We've already had our first rounds (light) of snow! Good luck and take care. Dave
That's already proven the fastest N/A LS1 is a Manual car, it probaly has the fastest 60 ft also at 1.26
Any well setup Manual car will run with the autos.

Of course M6 cars can run with A4 cars, we just need the rearend and a good launch. ET is all in the 60' times. There aren't many (if any) all-motor A4 daily-drivers running times like my M6 car with over 3600 lbs.

<strong>Quickest NA LS1 is the School of Automotive Machinist's hugger orange 99 SS. 418ci solid roller with a racing manual Jericho 4-speed tranny. Judson ran 9.7s at the Thunder Shootout a few weeks ago, at 3200 lbs.

Just out of curiosity, why is he not on our quickest N/A LS1 list? Yeah, I know full well that ET is largely determined by the first 60', but unfortunately, SAM's awesome car and your awesome car and Jason's awesome car aren't enough to convince everyone that 6-speed cars are capable of overcoming the all-mighty torque multiplication of modern-day converters. Probably because when you look at all these easily-viewable lists we keep in this forum all you see at the top of the list are autos. And, I intend to change all of that because you and I both know that I am not ashamed and do not feel like any less of a man if I take weight out of my car.
