will spacers destroy lugs on a hard launch?
also isnt it a 5/16" spacer?
YMMV...
The Pro-Star wheel uses a deep shank style lugnut. Therefore, if you do not get the spacer PERFECTLY centered around the studs when you put on the wheel the lugnut will hit the spacer. Therefore it will be improperly torqued, will crossthread, and 'cause all sorts of ugly problems (like the wheel won't want to come off).
Not like i'd know about this. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

I agree with you but Thunder and Madman both said they would not grind anymore on my brakes or they believe that they would become unsafe. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
I do not want to run the 5/16 spacers but I have to with my prostars. I like the look of the Prostars and I do not want to spend the money that it would cost to buy new wheels or brakes. I would rather spend it on more HP! <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
Anyway I will get off my soap box now! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

From my experience... the standard Weld lug nuts are very cheaply made an will eat up your lugs after a few changes.

The Summit ones suck too. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

Therefore, the lugs would bottom out before the wheel was tight. If that's the case, would't the wheel shift laterally even without a spacer?
