Go to samracing.com... I think you will find what you need...
The Sam car is probably the quickest naturally asperaited LS1 in the country.
I think you are talking about the Son of Sam camaro or as most of us say "The Sam Car"...

I just went 9.841 @ 137.41 at a race weight of 3340lbs! and with my little TH-350. What do you think the car would run at 3200lbs or even 2900lbs?
And Joe...I don't believe in stripping a car either. Front bumper brace still there, power windows, locks, antenna, radio, speakers, drive air bag, console, carpet...all still there and functional.
All this is done on a limited budget and with a killer Agostino Racing Engine that hasn't skipped a beat all season. Hell, it still has the same spark plugs in it from June.

Mikey what is your hangup with the Jerico trans in the Sam car??? You keep talking about the limited budget you race on hell if you can't afford to race stay at home and quit making excuses. Mikey I did everything to appease you and you still would not come to the Thunder Shootout... Hell Tom the roofer even offered to loan you a set of 10.5 inch tires.
Ask your lapdog Java what the answer was to the price of the trans in the Sam car.
I guess we could always come up with a claimer race like they do at the circle track races Mikey... Maybe then you wouldn't feel so bad.
I love the excuses some come up with, fact is that your slower so deal with it and find a way to go faster

How about if you and the SAM car drive all the way up to PA next time to race and I make the rules for production trannys only. Would you switch and spend the time to re-tune the combination for one race?
You missed the whole point of the W non W thing. I spent 4 months tuning my suspension with the W tire to get low 1.3x 60' times. It was not an easy task to keep the front down while still transfering the weight. I learned alot. I was not willing to spend any more time or money to run a 10.5 tire, tow a 30' trailer 1200 miles for one race. I just did not have the time. Yes, Tom offered and he is a good friend. So that would have given me how much time to re-tune the chassis? I run a business with a mechanic of one, secretary of one, *** wiper of one, all being me. I don't have 20+ guys in my crew who can tune for me. The car is what it is and if it is accepted for racing at events, I show up within a reasonable distance. My limited budget comes from hard work and when I am tuning my car or traveling, there is no one at the store pumping money into the business. I would much rather be racing but there's that whole "feed the family" thing.
Besides, It's a moog point now. It's over, both cars ran at different tracks on different days at different race weights. Actually, I hope to line up against both cars one day.
Well, off to the Pittsburgh/Cinncinati game Beer and brautwurst for me today

shop-built-sponsored cars did not include the little

are cracking good numbers.
The HOME-built-NONsponsored cars are more truely
budget and resource limited cars, IMHO.

Seeing the big-dogs run big numbers is impressive. But seeing the individual go fast is more down home to me. Hell, i put 600 miles on my car in the last 4 days. No race car here
I think there is not need to get wacky about Jud's SS, if he had an A3 or A2 in it it would probably run 9.60 or better. He does have a huge team of eager students who all love to help work on the car, and these folks are the speed shop owners of tomorrow gah' bless.
Now u know why I'm going to slow my car down. Its not worth all the BS that goes on and not fun anymore....
Little di**s are a sad thing to have guys.
Let the BS go already....
The holidays are comming.Maybe u should realize FAMILY,FRIENDS are whats important. Not some stupid BS about what car is quicker or faster than another.

It is easy for people to say "why didnt you come to the race" when it is in their own backyard.
I dont understand why you don't do an index racing (8,9,10,11,12,13) format and then have an all out NA and all out Power adder class with the only restrictions being stock suspension and a certain raceweight for each class. (with weight penaltys for C5R headed motors, and non-LS1 based motors)
Then you dont have to screw around with anything except meeting the proper weight and running a stock style suspension.
Then people can bring and run the combos they race and have a good time.
Why is everyone hung up on running a Non "W" tire at these events? These are race cars why not have them run a "W" tire?
I could see them running a DOT legal tire if they were pretending to be a street car. But limiting a race car to a non "W" tire is silly.
