Not a flame , but 12's in a car are way different than 11's and 10's. And I think the fastest he has been is 10.30 and 8's is like night and day. I know he knows his stuff really well, but I just hope they do alot of shake down passes on motor ( at least ) before trying something like this. But yea, GOOD LUCK. they need this camaro in Pewter huh sean?

When I went 10.30 the car had a stock rear end with 323's, a stock tranny with a performance rebuild, and a 3600 vig in it. It also weighed in @ 3260 lbs. The car has gone under the knife in a big way, Chance built TH400, Nine inch rear, better heads, better manegment system(FAST), More tire, complete Wolfe race craft suspension, oh and a new DVD player . It is gonna be close, and I love the doubt in every bodys mind. It makes me want to get it finished TONIGHT. I really believe in the vendors that came together to make this possible. I like being the one legged man in a butt kicking contest, it makes it more interesting that way. If I had the cash to put together a big inch turbo set up, we would'nt be having this conversation, it would'nt be very special it would just be expected.

Sean, why the TH400 over a 'glide? Speaking from personal experience, I think a 1.76 'glide would have been the perfect choice for the big nitrous setup.

I think you might just find that the 3 speed will overwhelm the chassis too easily... After all, that's a shitload of nitrous you're hitting that thing with.

I don't know if I could keep the engine together with a glide in it. With the 3 speed I will be able to keep the engine wrapped a little tighter and that may be the only thing that keeps detonation from eating the engine on it's first pass. Believe me when I say I really thought about a glide, but I had too many super knowledgable people talk me out of it.

oh one more thing, it's a 2 stage system. I think I can get her to hook by leaving on a smaller shot (around 200 or 250), and then bring in the rest (300 to 350). I will run leaded gas in the tank , and enrich the N20 with methanol to help with detonation woes. I'm not saying it will live for ever, but I think I can get the job done.

Saw the car in person today and JEEZUS... I really wish I could be there to see that **** run... it's gonna be a wild ride, and the only thing that bothers me is, I didn't see a spot for me to ride Seriously, Beautiful car and beautiful install Sean...
