Front bumper support more information

This thing is a flimsy foam filled stamped steel piece of crap

Weight is right around 19-20 pounds (weighed it a couple times)
I still think the front bumper support will do next to NOTHING in a high speed crash. This thing is designed for bumper tag in parking lots.

Perhaps my scale is off but my front bumper supported weighed in at a hair over 25lbs.
I do agree, in a high speed crash (I'd say anything over 20mph), you can kiss the radiator good bye anyway. Then again if you (you meaning anyone, not you Silverghost
) rear end someone, its your own stupid fault. I don't plan on removing the rear bumper support because I have no control over anyone rear ending me.
Oh yeah, you guys might also want to check out how Randy on FRRAX.com made his tubular front bumper support:

Yes, it's stamped steel. Just like the rest of the unibody. Get rid of that and you'll be the KING of weight reduction. Got a skateboard for sale, ya want it?
