I have cut a 1.450 n the same ET streets on a decent track. When the track goes to crap I'll take the ET drags anyday. I switched them right at the track and went from a best of 1.602 (11psi) with the ET streets to 1.490 with the ET drags (14psi) at a local 1/8 mile track.

If you have a very nice setup suspension you can get away with a lot less tire on most any track. A fairly stock suspended car depends a lot more on the tire.

So you guys think that a MT ET Drag will out hook an M&H slick? I have M&H cheater slicks now and want to jump to a 28" tire, but which one? A little off on a tanget, thanks.

I have 28x11.50x15 QTP's on Bogarts. My bump stops are still in place. I had to cut a bit off the bottom rear of the fender cover. I rolled the lip of the front in with a hammer, not noticable. I need to get rid of the rear spring cups and put hose on the top coil to bring the back down. Steve10 is right on about the horseshoe shape, and you can pick up some clearance dropping the rear some. No adjustable LCA's, no problems with tire growth.

No comparison between the the 9" ET drags and the 10.5x27x15 ET streets on a crap track..
Thats what I like to hear. Ive been disappointed with my 27x10.5 x15 ET streets since I got them. Sounds like you guys are pretty happy with your 28x9x15 ET drags. Ill be ordering them in a few weeks.

I was under the impression that there wasnt a real big difference betwee ET drags and ET streets. I had real good luck with the 10.5x27 ET streets on the car with the blower since it didnt have a ton of bottom end but once I started spraying they couldnt handle it. It was night and day when I swapped them at the track - both sets were fairly new and no street miles, the drags have a lot stickier compound it seems. The rubber on the car from the ET streets kinda falls of like dust and the stuff from the drags is like tar.

GranySS, the 9x28s are really 27.3 or so inches tall, they do grow a little on an 8" rim. 7000rpm with a 4.56 is only going to give you ~126 @ 7000 with an M6.

They fit, close on my car do to the ground FX's, but with the 10" rim, the tire isnt fit right, they are made for a 8" rim. they hooked about as good as my 27"x11.5 hoosier QTP. not to impressed. im saying screw it, and getting 28x10.5 et drags, and spray out of the hole!!
