im a maybe untill i see some pics on a non black car. also how strong is carbon fiber? my car is a daily driver too and i dont want all kinds of dents and crap in my hood even if it did weigh like 12lbs. for that price though if its as durable as the stock hood i would probably jump in

For those that don't know, CF does not dent and it CAN be painted!

Looks like we are 4-6 weeks off, I will need a 50% deposit from everyone who wants one first. I will post up some more info later.

Fenris

Any chance of having the new hood made with out all the space in the nostrils. Like having it made as a direct ram air (like the BG Ram Air Mod). With all the baffles removed there is a lot of spots that block the air coming into the engine. It would be nice if that was all a straight shot to the air box.

Just a idea, since they have to make the mold anyhow.

That would be great. I was planning on taking my stock hood to a body shop to do this. It would be awsome if it was already done.

I am definately in... I love the idea of having the BG mod molded into the hood... Bolt on/ Pin on baby... Does the under neath look the same as factory. If so it should be pretty study and not flimsy.

Carbon fiber is extremely sturdy, you should have no worries there. A buddy of mine just got in a shipment of import hoods from Vis, I will post some pics of the quality this week.

If anyone does not see their name on the list on the first page of this thread, let me know so I can add you!

Yes, defintaely have it molded after a WS6 hood with the BG kit installed. We would still need a gasket to seal it to the airbox though. Will carbon fiber hold up to drilling? What about having it molded so there are no nostril screens? That way there wouldn't be little tabs there to block air/look bad.

I'm definately in. Let us know about a deposit.

PLEASE ADD ME TO THE LIST FOR SURE. I need to know an approx shipping date and relevant info...I've got the cash in hand 350-400 ready to go...Please send me an email @ josey@sbcglobal.net and let me know when I need to send a check. Also a good picture of this hood would be nice before I send money order.

Thanks again!!

Added Josey and quickWS6 to the for sure list and did away with the maybe list to simplify things.

Josey: you can use your stock latch.
