B1 cam only, 11.6 @ 118, full weight M6
Stock heads, never been off the car.
Carsound catalytic converters (3 inch).
Cam designed by MTI three years ago.
.558 lift, 221 duration, 114 lsa. Passes emissions testing in NJ.
Koni double adjustable shocks up front, single adjustables in the rear.
Stock springs. Original battery in original position. No weight reduction mods at all (except removed swaybar for better weight transfer).
11.64 at 118.74 w/ 1.641 short time.
{7.469 at 93.04 1/8th mile}
26 x 10.5 x 16 MT ET streets on stock rims. Skinnies, no front Sway bar. Full accessory belt, no cutout, full interior with all seats. No jack/spare. Probably weighed 3550 lbs. The DA was +400 and temp was 70 degrees. Just couldn't sneak an 11.5. If it was 20 degrees cooler...
My last run was at 2:10, but it seems like the track got quicker later on in the day and it was hooking even better. If I stayed I'm sure I could have gotten an 11.5. oh well. I also might have been able to launch higher, but I don't wanna risk breaking anything.
Here are my runs in order:
11:00 -> 11.75 at 118, 1.64 short.
11:36 -> 11.676 at 118.65; 1.678 short.
12:19 -> 11.73 at 118.92, 1.668 short; spun.
12:52 -> 11.654 at 118.47, 1.624 short.
1:00 -> 11.684 at 118.35, 1.635 short.
1:38 -> 11.698 at 118.26, 1.64 short.
1:41 -> 11.658 at 118.61, 1.647 short.
2:10 -> 11.665 at 118.72, 1.630 short.
2:13 -> 11.647 at 118.74, 1.641 short.
I was launching between 4000 and 5000 as per atap. No KR to speak off really. The poly tranny mount cured that (by stopping my y pipe from hitting the underneath of the car).
i weighed the car at etown last week, and the only change from that was skinnies instead of my ws6 rims up front. it weighed 3622 with the ws6 rims up front, so i figure it probably weighs more than 3550, but we'll settle for 3550. it had 1/3 tank of gas most of the day (but it had less when i weighed it at etown).

Great Times! I also have the B1 and I'm very pleased with it. I'm hoping for low 12's with my convertible. Couple Questions if you don't mind. Where are your shift points?
Are you still using Stock injectors?

thanx.
i replaced my stock 1999 injectors with stock 1998 injectors; my 99's were maxing out. the '98's work much better for my power level.
i powershift at about 6400-6500.

2MCHPWR,
I'm probably maxed out also.
Where did you purchase the '98 injectors? Do you remember approx how much they cost? I'm thinking about getting the SVO 30#'s.
Thanks,

HOSS99,
i bought them used from a friend. you can find others in the classified section. expect to pay about $100 for the set. 30 pounders are more, but will be able to provide enough fuel if you decide to do heads and NOS.

Glad to see your car ran well! The 221' camshaft designs have been very successful throughout the years and have proven to run extremely well at the track as your car has shown. We have had several 221' cammed cars make over 400 rwhp using stock heads, looks like your car is not too far away!
Again, congrats!

thanx jayson. i love this cam.
you guys designed it so long ago and it's still kickin' butt. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
i wonder what the fastest B1 times are.
with stock heads and with ported heads.
m6 and a4.
at full weight and at reduced weight.
i gotta be up there. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Good job, I still like that cam even though the current fad is to install big duration, huge lift, and sloppy drivability cams. Nothing beats excellent performance with a balance of drivability.
