Interesting stuff, but c'mon...
Think of the resources and endless money that GM has available to invest in a project like that. It's only a few tenths quicker than some of the 420+ cid cars we're more familiar with (S.A.M., Mikey, Dave Douberly), and those guys have stock suspended 10.5" tire cars.
Hell, my relatively low(er) budget 382cid 10.5" tire car runs 10.0's in so-so spring time air, and there are a few parts which need to be replaced that I know will be worth a tenth or two...
My motor would fly in an 1800lb. dragster chassis!
