So what exactly are you doing to cover these holes? If the proof is there, then I'd like to handle this issue too. I havent performed any testing of my own whether these holes affect my aerodynamics, track times, mph, etc., but if one can, then its enough proof for me! Would like to see pics of what you used, how you did it, etc. Thanks.

The car is in Neutral every time I do this. DFCO wouldn't have anything to do with it.

Gomer, my 12-bolt has howled since the begining, and got worse after launching hard on it. When it was brand new before it saw any street time we pulled the rear cover and checked all the clearances. It howls like crazy but i've never had any problem with any rolling resistance.

My car is an M6, witht he front bumper support removed. On a steady mild downgrade on a local freeway ( About 2 Miles - 134 Freeway between Figueroa and the 2 fwy) starting at 65 the car will get to 90+mph if i don't pay attention. (Would probably go faster if i didn't get on the breaks) This is my normal route home from Irwindale Speedway and I usually throw it into neutral by this point to take a break from the howling rear end.

IMHO I don't think it has much to do with your rear end. Are you sure when he rear was installed the rear break calipers weren't cranked down to far? With the car jacked up, how easily do the rear tires spin? If they don't spin all that well when the breaks are cold, after driving a distance and putting heat into the breaks, that may increase the rolling resistance.

Good luck, I hope you find your problem.

I have seen the fronts cave on Camaros and act as a plow. I would definitely look at a support for it.

Just FYI Moser sets up their rear ends with zero backlash, for strength. Which will cause a tremendous howling sound. We always order them dissasembeled and set it up ourselves.
