The "R" shocks act more like a 90/10. Adjustable rebound with fixed compression.

If you set the "R" shocks to 1 the front end will come up quickly but will compress as if it was set to the stiffest adjustment.

The standard shocks set to 1 will raise the front end quick but compress just as quickly. I believe this is why some people on the board have complained that the front end of their car would bounce after lauch with a set of standard HAL 12 ways.

The R series don't bounce as much Tony when you have the shocks real loose. Magnus has them for example, and the front end does not bounce. So even if he has the fronts at 1/1 the nose stays up. I might get mine redone over the winter now.

Man, thats cheap. Much better alternative to selling/buying new "R"s.

One of mine is leaking, so I know where to send them. That's a killer deal.

I also have had the R since their release, very nice shock. I havent had a problem with the fronts coming down and breaking anything...yet, but I only get them a few inches off the ground.
Good to know where to get them rebuilt at. Good find.
