I have never heard of ON TRACK racing insurance.. Racing insurance from my understanding, covers your race car, trailer, etc aslong as its not being raced. If someone has a company that will cover the car on the track, please let us all know.

thats the way ive always heard it..
some jackass slams into your trailer as you're towing it to/from the track, you're covered... or if the garage catches on fire, you're covered..... but if you wreck at the track, thats just the cost of racing.

Very NICE find.. thank you very much!
Only downfall is the company seems a tad "shaddy"
it says
Please proceed to our "Race Car Insurance Quotation Form". Complete this form and email (cmuscat@aounderwriters.com), fax (248‑680‑0928) or mail the completed form to AO Underwriters, Ltd, 671 E. Big Beaver Road, Suite 107, Troy, MI 48083‑1421.
yet no link or form on the site I found.. I did however email them... we will see..
thanks again for the link

After working on a safety crew at Cordova Dragway for a few years, I have seen first hand what a rollcage, or lack thereof, will do. When I get serious with my car, a cage WILL be in. I saw too many cars get f#%ked up and the driver walk away to not get one.

It is truly amazing the inertia a 3000lb car is waiting to unleash on a stationary object. Like riding a motorcycle. there are 2 sayings I valued when I rode a bike.
#1. Dress for the fall not for the ride.
#2. It's not a question of IF you will go down, the question is WHEN.
These sayings can no doubt be applied to racing cars.

Keep in mind this from the AO Insurance site: "To purchase insurance through the association you must be a member and your vehicle must be raced at an Insured and Sanctioned event."
So wrecking at a test-n-tune night is not covered. I personally very rarely ever race at an NHRA or IHRA sanctioned event. But I race at a lot of other tracks or events.

Hmmm, that's funny, I asked the chick and she said TnT was covered. I clarified by saying I TnT at Moroslow? and she said "yes."
Reason being, Moroso is an IHRA sanctioned track, which must pass some standards.
