I was going to do that a while back, when my car was running lol.
I guess I could do that and just have the setup and bolts in the trunk and when I go to the track throw it in and bolt it up, have some dumy wires attatched.

I'm going to go w/ the Flaming river setup, I'm having a hard time deciding on a box though. Does it have to be a sealed box, or metal, its a dry cell? I was going to do a cheap plastic w/o a lid and strap it down....and use an optima.

thanks for a the pics, give's me a good Idea.

Pardon my ignorance but do you still need a vented and sealed battery box with Optima gel batteries?

Does it have to be a metal box, can it be plastic?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or mabey a site with the "How To" install page?

Man, some of these setups are pritty nice, thanks a lot for posting up some pics. When mine gets done I'll post'm up here as well. But I gotta figure out how to wire it first.

The only plastic box that is NHRA approved is the blue Moroso box. It's a nice box, but I'm not a fan of the color, thus the metal box.

no box is needed at all if the battery is sealed or a dry cell (non-spillable).... just a secure mount

all of the events i attended last year passed me with my non spillable hawker battery in my old bmr bracket. remind that only the blue moroso box is legal without a sealed firewall with a wet cell battery in it.
