I have an 01 A4 with cam heads and the gas loooow 11's high 10s i guess
this is a street car and i want it quiet and of course it needs to be adjustable
later on down the road i will have to get a 12 bolt , are their any that will fit both ?
also I have a cat back style exhaust and full length headers
i was thinking a spohn but their are so many styles so what do i need?

I had BMR adj on the stock 10 bolt and when i changed to the 12 bolt i had to cut two of the wholes off to make it fit the rear end. I changed to a TH400 and changed to a SPHON and i had to modify it also.

I run the spohn #405 w/ driveshaft loop. It will transfer a bit more noise into the cabin but its not all that bad. I had to grind the powder coat off of the inside of the mounting flanges so it would fit the 12-bolt. I'm running 6.70's in the 102-103mph range in the 1/8 with 1.4x 60' times with no problems.
May also be worth it to go with the spohn if you plan on a TH350/400 trans swap later down the line.
My only complaint would be ground clearance with the 405 model. It is made for long tube headers and hangs low. I also had to spend $700 on a custom true dual set up to clear that torque arm. The car is dropped about 2" in front and 1" in the back. I have to put the 28" tires on the back so I don't scrape on the way into my garage.

I have a spohn on my car, and it's a mostly street car. It's not too loud, clunks a little on acceleration/decel, but nothign major. Just took a little getting used to.. at first I thought there was somethng wrong.. but it's the way it's suposed to be. If you go with the poly front mount, it may be a little quieter too.
