Default I lost 3.5 lbs of fiberglass out of my doors, dremeled and hole sawed

I just got done cutting a lot of fiberglass out of my car doors for a combined weight of 3.5lbs. it still has enough structure to hold the window just fine. I just could not believe I would be able to get that much out of there.
here are some pics:

Good weight savings. That's 7 pounds with both doors.

Is the handle going to be strong enough when you open and close the door?

It was a total of 3.5lbs not 7lbs.
the door seems to be just as strong as it was before.

looks good looks like you got a little more than I did out of there. I didn't want to cut out the area were the speakers mounted in case I wanted to put the radio back in one day but I most likely won't but just in case lol.

did you remove the bracket at the rear of the door when you took out your door bars?(the one that the door catches on)

I trimmed the brackets down but left just enough metal so they would give a little support.

How did you get all that out? Window motors and window frames out?

I completely removed those brackets and remounted the catch on the door itself using washers

Wouldn't the time have been better spent running to burn the 3.5 lbs off?

Just wondering....
