John,
Your resentment is obvious and you're starting to repeat yourself. Back on topic, IMO, Grant steering wheels reduce safety and are illegal.

Another effort to keep this on topic -
Here's a pic of my Grant steering wheel. PSJ I didn't have to use a spacer but did cut a very little off the column cover to keep it from rubbing (just used a razor knife). Oh yeah, cut the wires also. One other note, I found a steering wheel adapter at Discount Auto Parts that was real inexpensive.

The 'yellow thing' is the air bag clock spring, you can remove it. The connector can be cut off on the bottom of the column and you just pull the wires up through. Some cars also have the steering radio controls and they use ths clock spring for those connections as well.
Also dont put washers between the hub and steering shaft, there is a slight taper to the splines and the wheel may loosen up after a while. I just cut down the 'bell' on the horn kit (if you may put the stock wheel back on one day) or take a dremel to plastic upper column and trim it where it rubs.

There are little tabs in the back and I just kind of put a screw through them to press against the back of the carbon fiber which pushes it against the clear piece itself. Don't know if that made any sense or not
