if i pull the pas side air bag, how does the cover go back on? i was looking at it, and it looks like its attached somehow? also, can the bag be pulled with the dash back in the car?
i want to keep it in, but if im above my ls1tech weight limmit, i may pull the bags and bumper suports

Best way to do it would be w/ the dash out. There's 4 or 5 screws that attach it to the metal structure of the dash.

My airbag panel is still intact...just nothing under it. Well, nothing important anyway.

That's what I did. I got my dash out to put the front half of the cage in and I popped mine out. I can try to get some pictures tonight. The dash and the bag is sitting in the garage now.

If you want some real excitement, bolt that baby down to a 2x8 and put a 12V battery to it.

If your dash is out then its easy...I took it out with the dash still intact....Theres alot of little 7 or 8 MM screws to remove and then it should come out.

If the dash is in,u will need to pry off the top of the dash and pry the airbag cover off very carefully, them drill a few hole in the dash to get to the screws, then you'll need to use a cutter to remove the cage the airbag sits in and it should come out, took me about 1.5HR to pull it with the dash still in place,u will need to remove the dash screws about 1/2 across and on the pass side by the kick panel, apillar etc to pull the dash back alittle bit.

You've gone way to radical not to pull the airbags, bumper supports.
Thats easy fopund weight,45 for the bumpr supports and another 25+ w/the airbags and a lw wheel.

Do it......

the dash is out, so it should be easy, im going to look at it tonight. its comin out. as for bumper suports, front will come out when i have time to make some nice braces for it, and the rear suport will come out when i put the new bumper on next winter.

Yeah, I ditched the rubber insulation too. I'm in the process of eliminating all the wiring that went to the HVAC and crash sensors. Sensors are easy since they're the only thing w/ yellow ends.

We blew one up @ the shop one day. The cops showed up saying someone down the block thought they heard a gunshot.
